If you haven't seen the film, please do before reading further. The less you know about it, the funnier it is.

I directed and animated this award winning commercial for Europride. The script was fairly simple, with a sperm trying to fight his way to the egg, and then a joke payoff at the end of the film. This could have been solved in a multitude of ways, but I thought that doing it as serious and realistic as possible would make the ending the most surprising and funny.

The film was ultimately pulled from TV by the Europride arranger, after criticism that the film was encouraging unprotected sex. Despite of that, Toxic was allowed to put in on their website, and it amassed over 600.000 downloads the first two weeks it was up! I would estimate the film has been viewed a couple of million times on assorted websites on the internet.

The film won gold at the AAF-Addy Awards, and bronze in the Cannes Lions competition. Agency: Kitchen/McCann. Studio: Toxic.
