This commercial was my first censored project, I have worked on a couple more after this. The reason for that was due to the strong regulations on alcohol commercials in Norway. Normally, you can advertise low-alcohol drinks, as long as they are enjoyed in bright sunlight and not in any places associated with excessive drinking and alcoholism. After the film was completed, someone somewhere decided that the interior was too dark - and the film was shelved.
The little cast was filmed on greenscreen. And everything except the actors are 3D. I did the interior design and art directed the 3D part of the film. We hired an excellent freelancer to build the interior, and I lit and composited the finished commercial. I did plenty of mistakes on this film, the most notable in still images is the grain profiling. And the integration look really bad now. But I really like how my interior design turned out, I hope there is a bar somewhere that looks like this.
